THE WORLD OF ASHES REMEMBER
Fractured Earth
Magic has a cost.
In Verdessa, magic marks your place in society. Beyond its walls, the earth bears the cost—and the world’s promise of balance grows harder to believe.
Verdessa, City of Balance
Within Verdessa’s walls, pale stone and glass rise above carefully controlled pockets of green. Magic has its place here. So does everyone who carries it.
Explore the city where Sarena’s story begins.
The corrected city map is awaiting production.
Magic Has a Cost
Mana runs through the earth. Where it remains, the land can flourish. Where it is depleted, the damage shows.
The contrast reaches beyond Verdessa’s carefully maintained walls, raising questions about what balance means—and who bears the cost.
Marked Magic
At ten years old, a gem is implanted in the center of the chest. Its color marks a place in society: blue for the lower class, red for Regulators, green for medics, researchers, etc., and diamond for the upper class.

Beyond Verdessa

Aurelspire and Lumivara offer further glimpses of Fractured Earth—a world extending far beyond Verdessa.
THE PERSON AT THE HEART OF THE STORY
Sarena
Sarena wants to study the land—to understand why mana is draining and whether she can help. Living with mana sickness has made those closest to her protective, steering her toward a safer future. But she’s tired of being treated as fragile. She wants to choose her own path—and to be trusted with something that matters.
